Lucie (Aida Economu) is a successful playwright who always has something to correct - either her latest play, a crooked painting in her Parisian apartment, or her own life. Always in a hurry, suspicious and a bit grumpy, she is now facing a big problem: she urgently needs to write a play, but absolutely nothing comes to mind. Thomas (Radu Micu), her new neighbor, is her opposite - an incorrigible optimist who cooks divinely but sings terribly out of tune.
A banal flood brings them together and, from this incident, an unexpected relationship is born: two people so different begin to observe each other, to provoke each other, to get annoyed, and, ultimately, to tame each other. Throughout a game full of humor and tenderness, Lucie rediscovers inspiration, and Thomas rediscovers his passion for life.
"Everything You Desire" is more than a romantic comedy: it is a story about the power of imagination and the fragile boundaries between reality and fiction. What remains when we can no longer invent stories? And how much can we transform our own lives into a story worth telling?
Alexandru de la Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte, the creators of the Wondertheatre successes "The Name" and "Dinner for Schmucks" and of the recent successful film in cinemas, "The Count of Monte Cristo", offer us a delicious duel of lines and emotions, a memorable story about the art of writing and the courage to love. An intelligent comedy in which humor and romance intertwine harmoniously in a show that makes you believe again in the magic of the theater — and the miracle of love.
