FLAMENCO ARTS. The fiery music of Spain, in a fascinating show

On November 5th, at Dalles Hall we have 2 special guests: 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘰𝘳𝘢 Pilar Diaz Romero and 𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢 Tiberiu Gogoanta. Arriving from Barcelona, especially for this evening, they come to stage the fiery music of Spain, in a fascinating show of 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘦́𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘰 𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦 𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦.

Flamenco is much more than an art. It's the sublimated expression of an ancient culture, the dew of the earth from an Iberian Gypsy tale, core and roots. There are days and nights put to rhythm, tears washed away by joys, the swift breath of the world. For artists, flamenco is a way of life. For us, it's a spectacle of technique, passion, and strength. We can find it shocking, or maybe just foreign, but it never leaves us indifferent.

𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼 was born in 1977, in Barcelona, into a family of flamenco artists, from which emerges the figure of her great-grandfather, Antonio Romero, 𝘣𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘰𝘳 of flamenco known in numerous 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘰 from Seville, and that of her grandfather, the flamenco guitarist Paco Romero, who, for years, accompanied the dancer Carmen Amaya in Barcelona. Pilar started singing as a child, quickly evolving in 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘰, in Madrid and Barcelona. She collaborated with renowned guitarists, including Justo Fernandez (Barcelona), Felipe Maya or Jeronimo Maya (Madrid). Together with the company "Increpacion Danza", she has given concerts in England, Holland, Germany, Portugal, Italy, as well as on numerous stages in Spain.

𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘂 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗻𝘁̦𝗮̆ was born in Romania and began studying guitar at the music high schools in Pitești and Bucharest. After graduating high school, realizing that he was irremediably drawn to the flamenco guitar, he first went to the Netherlands, where he studied for a year with Paco Peña, and then to Spain, where he took courses with maestro Manuel Granados, at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, in Barcelona. He has performed in numerous 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘰 and 𝘱𝘦𝘯̃𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘴, including “El Cordobés”, “El Patio Andaluz” and “Tarantos”. He has accompanied numerous 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘰𝘳𝘪 (including El Mantecao, Gloria Mateo, Alba Guerrero) and dancers: Nacho Blanco, Eva Santiago, Issac Barbero, Cristina Blanco, Juan Mateo, Antonio Alaya, Eli Alaya. He collaborated with the company of dancer Nuria Ventura, being invited to participate in her tour in Colombia. He has held numerous concerts in the cante y guitarra format, in Barcelona, Seville, Huelva, Bilbao, Santander etc.
