"My nephew thinks he's a poet" is a play written by Călin-Liviu Georgescu and staged by Magda Catone.
The theater performance will have its national premiere on April 28 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, after which it will go on tour to theaters in the country.
The cast of the show consists of the well-known and appreciated actress of the National Theater in Bucharest, Magda Catone, the child Rareș Prisăcariu, winner of the show "Romanians have talent", from ProTV and the young actors Alecsandru Dunaev (known to the public from the series Adela, from Antena1) and Anda Sârbei (known to the public from the series "Leave me, I like it! Room 609", from Antena1).
"My nephew thinks he's a poet" is a comedy and social satire show under which a necessary and powerful manifesto for Romanian culture and poetry is hidden.
The show centers on the child Rareș, the character played by Rareș Prisăcariu, whom his uncle, Alex (Alecsandru Dunaev) brings to the psychologist (Magda Catone) to cure him of poetry, because Rareș not only knows all the poems in the world, but is convinced that he is also their author. The psychologist's assistant, Anda (Anda Sârbei) also joins the collective effort to remove poetry from the child, but the results are not at all what was expected.
The show offers over ninety captivating and engaging minutes of humor, satire and Romanian poetry, in a memorable theatrical experience and perfectly suited to the times we live in.
