Inspired by the reality of the masterclasses held by Maria Callas at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, the play signed by Terrence McNally invites you to enter the backstage of the art and soul of a diva. In front of young aspirants to a career in bel canto, Callas not only offers lessons in vocal technique, but also sincerely reveals her feelings, vulnerabilities and the great questions of an artist's life.

Each meeting with the students is an opportunity for introspection: through the eyes of the innocent Sophie, Callas relives her own insecurities from her youth; Sharon's ambition provokes her to rethink her standards of perfection; tenor Tony rekindles her passion for music, reminding her of the pure love for art, beyond the burden of celebrity.

Oana Pellea offers a memorable interpretation, managing to authentically render the complexity of Maria Callas: demanding and passionate, fragile and imposing, always human. Without imitating, the actress recreates on stage the legendary aura of the soprano, transforming each moment into a revelation.

The show becomes an emotional confession about the sacrifices and the price of success, about art taken to the extreme and the obsession with perfection. "Master Class" poses essential questions about the limits of the artist and how far one can go in the name of art.
