This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss II – the composer who transformed the waltz from a social dance into symphonic art.
On this occasion, the "Ion Dacian" National Operetta and Musical Theatre presents a unique anniversary concert in Romania:
a Strauss Concert performed by the Salon Orchestra of TNOMID, in the format and style in which this music was originally conceived for imperial salons, not for formal stages.
The sound, repertoire, style, and stage presence respect the authentic Viennese tradition.

The program includes waltzes, polkas, galops, and well-known or rediscovered orchestral works, in original orchestrations, performed by the Salon Orchestra of the "Ion Dacian" National Operetta and Musical Theatre, alongside the theater's soloists.
