The National Opera and Ballet Theatre "Oleg Danovski" Constanța concludes the year 2026 with one of the most beloved and spectacular creations in the operetta repertoire: "The Bat" by Johann Strauss.

The show will take place Wednesday, December 30, 2026, at 18:30, on the stage of the House of Trade Union Culture in Constanța, in a festive performance, full of energy, elegance, humor, and waltz rhythms, perfect for the atmosphere of the last days of the year.

„The Bat” is one of the most famous operettas by Johann Strauss, a creation in which romantic intrigue, confusion, hidden identities, and comical situations follow each other at a brisk pace, transforming the performance into a true celebration of musical theater. The story of Gabriel von Eisenstein, his wife Rosalinda and a gallery of memorable characters unfolds in a game of appearances and disguises, where a seemingly innocent party triggers a series of humorous situations and plot twists.

Strauss's music, dominated by elegant waltzes, polkas, and moments of great vocal brilliance, lends the opera a special festive atmosphere. At the conductor's podium will be Tiberiu Dragoș Oprea, who will lead the Orchestra and Choir of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre "Oleg Danovski" Constanța.

The cast brings together acclaimed lyrical artists of the theater, along with a guest from Bucharest: Nicoleta Ardelean, Doru Iftene, Silvia Simionescu, Mădălin Băldău, Cristian Caragea
Marius Eftimie, Adrian Pîrlea, Gabriel Coveșan – Bucharest, debut, Gabriela Dobre and Robert Safta.
