On the very day of his inauguration, the new president is preparing to deliver his first speech to the nation. Everything should be impeccable, solemn and memorable. Except that, just as he is rehearsing the text, he is struck by a strange and ridiculous symptom: an unbearable, uncontrollable itch in his nose. And what could be more catastrophic than such a crisis, broadcast live, in front of the millions of citizens watching him?

Desperate, the President turns to a renowned psychiatrist, played by Răzvan Vasilescu, convinced that only a lightning-fast therapy session can save him from shame. Only the meeting of the two turns into a true comic radiography of power, in which the doctor proves to be more of a skilled political consultant than a simple healer.

A delicious verbal duel follows, full of irony and brilliant lines, in which the new leader is stripped of any mask and confronted with his own weaknesses, compromises and ambitions.

"The President" is an explosive comedy, a current and acidic political satire, which shows how even the most honest candidate, once in power, ends up selling illusions and disappointing his voters. A funny, but lucid, radiography of how power corrupts and the price that the whole society pays.
