A new project - SUPER GROUP - born from the need for musical diversity, initiated by JOSEF IOJI KAPPL, ex PHOENIX, based on his musical creation, in which NICU PATOI, one of the most virtuous guitarists of the nation, participates, as well as NARCIS TRAN-KORSAR and CODRUȚ CROITORU, two young musicians who, through their voices, bring freshness, color and strength to the project!
Marcel Moldovan has also joined them on drums. MEȘTERII ROCK is not just an entertainment project, but also represents a cultural act through quality music and texts with a profound message by great masters of poetry such as Șerban Foarță and Andrei Ujică, Florin Dumitrescu, Cătălin Răcilă and some even by the composer.

Josef Ioji Kappl is the well-known bassist of the Phoenix legend and the leader of the project.
His activity as a composer and arranger extends to the three legendary Phoenix albums, Cei ce ne-au dat nume (Those Who Gave Us Names), Mugur de fluier (Flute Bud) and especially Cantafabule (Song of Fables), still considered the best Romanian rock album of all time. To these are added the Rock Opera Meșterul Manole (Master Builder), the album Legenda 2016 (Legend 2016) with Pasărea Rock (Rock Bird) and a series of new songs, which appeared on a new album, Cavalcada (Cavalcade).
Nicu Patoi, one of the most prominent Romanian guitarists, is the leader of the Platonic Band and Equilateral projects and a long-time collaborator with Berti Barbera and Ștefan Bănică and has been participating since 2016 with body and soul, with inspiration and virtuosity in the Pasărea Rock project, now Meșterii Rock (Rock Masters). Nicu Patoi takes over the guitar part of the Rock Opera Meșterul Manole starting in 2022.
Narcis Tran Korsar, a musician from the young generation, endowed with much talent and creative power, already on his third album of his solo project, has perfectly understood the context of the Meșterii Rock music, enriching their sound with his guitar and voice.
Codruț Croitoru is a young vocalist, a multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger, with stage experience alongside names like Compact and alongside his colleagues from Taylor Band, whose leader he is.
Marcel Moldovan, an intelligent drummer, liked by many colleagues in the profession, including "Smiley" and who knows how to subordinate his special virtuosity to the musical context.

Starting in January 2024, he takes over the drum part at the Rock Opera Meșterul Manole.
